由於知名科技公司亞馬遜（Amazon）採用亞馬遜雨林的名稱，加上該公司恰巧推出「Fire」系列的電視與平板服務，導致在網路搜尋亞馬遜森林大火時，搜尋結果可能會同時出現大火危機與科技產品。因此推特網友在呼籲大眾關注的標籤「#ActForTheAmazon」上，還會直接標記亞馬遜執行長貝佐斯（Jeff Bezos），希望他能撥款幫助結束這場危機。
