新型冠狀病毒肺炎（COVID-19，下文稱武漢肺炎）全情疫情大爆發，根據美國約翰霍普金斯大學（JHU）的全球疫情即時統計，截至台灣時間25日上午10時，全球已有42萬1792宗確診個案、1萬8883死，另有10萬7762治癒病例。

提醒各國領袖注意氣候變遷現象的瑞典氣候少女童貝里（Greta Thunberg），24日在推特（twitter）個人帳號中發文表示，由於甫結束2周的中歐行程，為了保險起見，童貝里目前選擇居家檢疫。

同時，她也在Instagram個人帳號中指稱，由於父親與自己剛從歐盟總部布魯塞爾返回瑞典後，出現發抖、喉嚨痛、咳嗽等症狀，父親更有發燒現象，父女兩人目前正居家檢疫。

The last two weeks I’ve stayed inside. When I returned from my trip around Central Europe I isolated myself (in a borrowed apartment away from my mother and sister) since the number of cases of COVID-19 (in Germany for instance) were similar to Italy in the beginning. Around ten days ago I started feeling some symptoms, exactly the same time as my father - who traveled with me from Brussels. I was feeling tired, had shivers, a sore throat and coughed. My dad experienced the same symptoms, but much more intense and with a fever. In Sweden you can not test yourself for COVID-19 unless you’re in need of emergent medical treatment. Everyone feeling ill are told to stay at home and isolate themselves. I have therefore not been tested for COVID-19, but it’s extremely likely that I’ve had it, given the combined symptoms and circumstances. Now I’ve basically recovered, but - AND THIS IS THE BOTTOM LINE: I almost didn’t feel ill. My last cold was much worse than this! Had it not been for someone else having the virus simultainously I might not even have suspected anything. Then I would just have thought I was feeling unusually tired with a bit of a cough. And this it what makes it so much more dangerous. Many (especially young people) might not notice any symptoms at all, or very mild symptoms. Then they don’t know they have the virus and can pass it on to people in risk groups. We who don’t belong to a risk group have an enormous responsibility, our actions can be the difference between life and death for many others. Please keep that in mind, follow the advice from experts and your local authorities and #StayAtHome to slow the spread of the virus. 美國約翰霍普金斯大學（JHU）的全球疫情即時統計，截至台灣時間25日上午10時，瑞典已有2299宗確診個案、40死，另有16治癒病例。

美國時間24日晚間，哈佛校長巴寇（Lawrence S. Bacow）在哈佛大學官方網站中發表了聲明，宣佈自己和妻子均證實感染武漢肺炎。

巴寇指出他與妻子從14日先後出現咳嗽、發燒、發冷、肌肉痠痛等症狀，23日與家庭醫生聯繫後，天進行了病毒檢測，結果為陽性。

聲明中，巴寇不確定他和妻子是如何、何時遭到感染的，但他強調近期接觸的人不多，14日起兩人均開始在家工作。
